Welcome to CertFix.co.uk. These Terms of Service govern all services provided by CertFix (“we”, “our”, “us”) to residential, commercial and landlord customers (“you”, “your”). By accessing our website, requesting a quotation, booking an appointment or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
1. Services
CertFix provides a wide range of property maintenance, repair, installation and compliance services, including but not limited to:

- Unvented Cylinder Services
- Power Flushing
- Gas Leak Detection & Repairs
- Water Leak Detection & Repairs
- Pipework Installation & Repairs
- Bathroom Plumbing
- Kitchen Plumbing
- Tap, Toilet & Shower Repairs
- Drainage & Waste Pipe Repairs
- Water Tank Services
- Smart Heating Controls & Thermostat Installation
- Cooker, Hob & Gas Fire Installation
- Commercial Plumbing & Heating Services

This list is not exhaustive. We may introduce, modify or discontinue services at any time without prior notice.
Where applicable, gas work is carried out by appropriately qualified engineers registered with the official Gas Safe Register and all work is completed in accordance with relevant UK legislation, industry standards and applicable Building Regulations.
2. Quotations
- All quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
- Quotes are based on information available at the time of inspection.
- Additional work requested by the customer or unforeseen issues discovered during the job may incur additional charges.
- We will discuss and obtain your approval before carrying out chargeable additional work wherever reasonably possible.
3. Booking & Appointments
Customers must provide safe and reasonable access to the property at the agreed appointment time.
Missed appointments or cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a call-out charge.
4. Emergency Call-Outs
Emergency response times are estimates only and cannot be guaranteed due to traffic, weather, previous emergencies or circumstances beyond our control.
Emergency call-out fees apply in accordance with our current pricing.
5. Payments
Payment is due upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We accept major debit and credit cards, bank transfer and other approved payment methods.
For larger installations, a deposit may be required before work commences.
Late payments may incur interest and recovery costs in accordance with applicable UK legislation.
6. Customer Responsibilities
Customers agree to:
- Provide accurate information regarding the reported fault.
- Ensure safe access to the property.
- Obtain landlord or management company permission where required.
- Keep children and pets away from the work area where practical.
7. Guarantees
Our workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months unless otherwise stated.
Manufacturer warranties apply to boilers, parts and appliances supplied by the manufacturer.
Our workmanship guarantee does not cover:
- Misuse or accidental damage
- Third-party alterations
- Existing faults unrelated to our work
- Poor water quality or system contamination
- Normal wear and tear
8. Existing Systems
We cannot be held responsible for failures caused by ageing or defective plumbing or heating systems discovered during or after our work.
Older systems may require additional repairs before new equipment can operate safely.
9. Gas Safety
Where our engineers identify equipment that is immediately dangerous or unsafe, we reserve the right to disconnect or isolate the appliance in accordance with current gas safety regulations.
10. Property Damage
We take reasonable care while working in your property.
If accidental damage occurs due to our negligence, we will repair or compensate appropriately.
We are not responsible for pre-existing defects or hidden structural issues uncovered during the work.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CertFix shall not be liable for:
- Indirect or consequential losses
- Loss of income or business interruption
- Delays caused by suppliers, manufacturers or events outside our reasonable control
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Cancellations
Customers may cancel scheduled work by providing at least 24 hours’ notice.
Special-order materials and bespoke equipment may be non-refundable once ordered.
Where work has already commenced, customers are responsible for payment for work completed and materials supplied.
13. Warranties
Manufacturer warranties remain subject to the manufacturer’s own terms and conditions.
Warranty claims may require inspection before replacement or repair is authorised.
14. Privacy
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.
Customer information is used solely for providing our services, legal compliance and customer support.
15. Intellectual Property
All website content, logos, photographs and branding remain the property of CertFix unless otherwise stated.
16. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
